Carolina Piacenza participates in FERRERE’s Corporate Law and Corporate and Commercial teams. She advises both national and foreign companies established or about to be established in Uruguay. She is often consulted on corporate planning and compliance with requirements, rules and regulatory proceedings, and business strategy. Her experience includes the drafting and negotiation of share syndication agreements as well as agreements between shareholders and investors. She is distinguished for assisting the firm’s clients in due diligence procedures conducted prior to executing major transactions and mergers.

She graduated as Attorney from Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay) in February 2008. She obtained a Master’s in Corporate Law (LL.M.) from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Madrid, Spain) in 2010-2011, culminating with an outstanding defense of her thesis titled “Reflections on special mergers under the Restructuring Law.” In December 2012 she graduated as Notary Public at Universidad de Montevideo (Montevideo, Uruguay).

During 2011 Piacenza worked for the renowned European law firm of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, at its Madrid, Spain, headquarters.

Over the last years, Piacenza has worked with the following clients: Paladin, Union Agriculture Group, Nordex, ISS, Crovat, Yazaki, Discount Bank, Weyerhaeuser, Global Forest Partners and Abbott, which she has professionally assisted in diverse areas.
