In each of the last three soccer World Cups, the FIFA Cup in Korea/Japan, Germany, and South Africa, FERRERE worked successfully in the negotiations and in resolving broadcasting and marketing rights disputes. Very early in its existence, the firm established a specialized group for this type of practice, and the group leader, Agustín Mayer West, is now recognized as one of the leading Latin American experts and specialists in the field.

FERRERE participated in the drafting of the Sports Corporations Law and the establishment of the first sports corporation, which now competes in official tournaments organized by the Uruguayan Soccer Association. FERRERE currently represents first-division soccer clubs and international sponsors in sensitive matters involving image and audiovisual transmission rights, contracting of sports stars, matters pending before the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), and innovative financing structures, among other matters.

FERRERE is also a player in the development of the audiovisual entertainment industry in Uruguay and the región. Many of the principal Uruguayan advertising spots and feature films have been produced with the assistance of the firm. The firm was contracted by the Cinema and Audiovisual Institute of Uruguay (ICAU) to draft regulations for its operation, structure its calls for tenders and funding, and advise on increasing growth of the industry in the country.
